Currently, Marilyn is involved in micro-loan-plus projects in rural western Guatemala, working for the empowerment of impoverished families, and educational sponsorships for children. She is consulting with organizations that have the desire to invest in projects that achieve sustainable outcomes. Marilyn is dedicated to assist in providing opportunity for the economically disadvantaged to find their own solutions to poverty.

Marilyn, along with her partner GSE Team Leader Freddy Subiyanto from Bali Indonesia successfully co-authored a 3-H Grant totaling $475,000 to purchase medical equipment for a new blood bank in Bali. Within three years the Rotary Foundation acknowledged the Bali blood bank was self-sustaining. Throughout her life Marilyn has been deeply invested in international humanitarian work, both as a consultant and a professional volunteer.
