President-Elect Training Seminar

The Presidents Elect Training Seminar is a training and informational program for the president-elect, planned and organized by the PETS Operating Committee and the District Governors Elect. Its main purpose is to help implement the Rotary International theme for the ensuing year and to motivate the incoming club president in leadership roles in club, district and Rotary International activities. The Rotary International Manual of Procedure states that in order to be president of a Rotary Club, the president elect must attend the District President Elect Training Seminar. Rotary International Districts 5010, 5020, 5030, 5040, 5050, 5060, 5080, 5100, and 5110 sponsor this seminar for their districts.

Those Entitled to Attend PETS 2012

Club Presidents elected to serve in 2012-2013
District Governors 2011-2012 (Serving Governor)
District Governors 2012-2013 (District Governors Elect)
District Governors 2013-2014 (District Governor Nominee)
District Governors 2014-2015 (District Governor Nominee)
Assistant Governors currently serving their respective districts
Club Representative approved by their District Governor Elect
Those Rotaract Presidents-elect specifically invited by their District Governor Elect

Seminar Information

The President Elect Training Seminar will be held on Friday, March 9, 2012 to March 11, 2012 at the Double Tree Hotel at SeaTac Airport.

District 5010 Pre-PETS will be held at the Double Tree Hotel at SeaTac Airport starting on Wednesday March 7.


The seminar adjourns on Sunday, March 11, 2012 about 12:30. The hotel provides luggage storage on Sunday morning.

Future President Elect Training Seminars are scheduled for:
2012 - PETS Friday 9 March thru Sunday 11 March

Events will begin one day earlier, on Thursday, for District Governor Groups, Assistant Governors, Workshop Leaders, and Districts with PrePETS.
