Prior to becoming Rotary International Director Elect in June 2010, Ken Boyd served as District Governor of District 5230 in 1990-91. His District service included participating on 36 District Committees and chairing 11. He led a Group Study Exchange team to England. On the Zone level, Ken chaired the Seattle Zone Institute, Portland GETS Training, the Presidents’-Elect Seminar (P.E.T.S.) and an International Presidents’ dinner. Since 1990 he has participated in Zone Institutes as a Speaker, Instructor or Committee Chairman. Ken is the creator of Rotary’s Global Quest, which achieved the greatest growth in the history of Rotary. Ken will be introducing District Governor Elects from Zone 25 at PNWPETS as well as the introducing the IGNITE membership initiative for Zone 25.
